LR Legal Recruitment is seeking a Personal Injury Defense Attorney for a Dallas-based law firm. This hybrid, direct-hire role lets you own a diverse civil defense caseload from day one—managing everything from initial assignment through trial or resolution.

You will manage cases end-to-end, draft key documents, take depositions, and advocate for corporate clients and insurers, while billing under a traditional defense firm structure.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of civil defense litigation experience.
• Bar admission in good standing with the State Bar of Texas.
• Experience taking depositions and drafting motions.
• Comfort working in a traditional defense firm billing environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage personal injury defense matters from start to trial.
• Draft substantive pleadings, motions, and discovery.

Salary: Up to $181,000 + Benefits (Negotiable depending on experience)

I am currently working with a litigation law firm in Dallas that is looking to add a talented Personal Injury Defense Attorney to their team.

This is a direct-hire role where you will step straight into an active, diverse caseload. Instead of just sitting in the background doing document review, you will take true ownership of your files from day one—managing everything from initial assignment right through to trial or resolution.

A Day in Your Legal Life

• Manage your cases: Guide personal injury defense matters from start to finish.
• Draft key documents: Prepare substantive pleadings, motions, and comprehensive discovery requests/responses.
• Take the lead on depositions: Conduct and defend depositions of plaintiffs, key witnesses, and medical or technical experts.
• Advocate in person: Represent corporate clients and insurance carriers at hearings, mediations, and arbitrations.
• Build strategies: Formulate strong defense plans and keep clients and carriers updated along the way.
• Stay accurate: Maintain disciplined daily time entries aligned with standard firm and insurance billing guidelines.

Who Thrives in This Seat?

• 3+ years of dedicated civil defense litigation experience, specifically focused on personal injury or insurance defense.
• Bar admission in good standing with the State Bar of Texas.
• Proven comfort taking depositions, drafting summary judgment motions, and making courtroom appearances.
• A strong, professional work ethic comfortable operating within a traditional defense firm billable hour framework.

The Reward Package

• Compensation: A target base salary up to $181,000, depending on your experience and trial readiness.
• Real Flexibility: After a brief onboarding period to get settled in, you’ll transition to a hybrid schedule—3 days in the Dallas office and 2 days remote.
