This role offers a hybrid schedule with multiple US locations or remote for highly qualified candidates. The salary range is $59,900–$98,200 with incentive bonus eligibility, reflecting location and experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and 3+ years of experience in Claims or Insurance
• Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice path with 3+ years of Claims/Insurance
• Completion of Zurich Claims Training Program with 2+ years of Claims/Insurance
• High School Diploma or Equivalent with 5+ years of Claims/Insurance
• Must obtain and maintain required adjuster license(s)
• Knowledge of insurance regulations, markets, and products
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office

The selected candidate will be expected to work a hybrid schedule from one of Zurich’s office locations in Atlanta, GA; Maitland, FL; Addison, TX; Schaumburg, IL; Rocky Hill, CT; Parsippany, NJ; or Omaha, NE. Zurich is also open to considering a fully remote work arrangement for highly qualified candidates with significant General Liability claims experience. In this dynamic role, you'll manage and resolve moderate to high-exposure, multi-party commercial general liability claims. Using your litigation expertise and strategic mindset, you will:

• Handle complex litigated claims from start to finish with a focus on quality, efficiency, and service excellence.
• Partner closely with internal and external counsel, underwriters, and risk professionals.
• Provide clear, timely communication to customers and stakeholders throughout the claim process.
• Ensure claims are handled in accordance with regulatory standards and company protocols.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree and 3+ years of experience in Claims or Insurance
  OR
• Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice, including an associate degree, with 3+ years of experience in Claims or Insurance
  OR
• Completion of Zurich Claims Training Program with 2+ years of experience in Claims or Insurance
  OR
• High School Diploma or Equivalent with 5+ years of experience in Claims or Insurance
  AND
• Must obtain and maintain required adjuster license(s)
• Knowledge of insurance regulations, markets, and products
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Preferred Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience handling Commercial General Liability claims
• 5+ years of experience handling litigation management
• Experience in handling commercial claims for a major insurance carrier.
• Proven experience managing litigated claims, including directing defense counsel, developing litigation strategy, participating in mediations and settlement conferences, and maintaining appropriate indemnity, medical, and expense reserves.
• Strong understanding of coverage analysis, compensability determinations, reserve management, and risk transfer opportunities, including contractual liability and third-party recovery.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent time management, prioritization, and multi-tasking abilities
• Experience in team collaboration and building cross-functional relationships
• Proficiency in explaining complex financial and actuarial concepts
• Ability to assess the scope and exposure of moderately complex claims
• Expertise in the reserving process for indemnity and expenses
• Capability to develop and execute negotiation strategies
• Skill in identifying nuances in customer and business partner interactions
• Proficiency in presenting claim resolution information to stakeholders

The proposed Salary range for this position is 59,900.00 - 98,200.00, with short-term incentive bonus eligibility set at 10%.
