Job summary

MCC Label, a global leader in premium labels, is seeking a Press Operator to manufacture printed labels and monitor quality and press conditions. You will follow Job Tickets and Product Specifications to ensure correct cylinders, inks, substrates, tooling, and rollers.

Responsibilities include adhering to safety rules, performing quality checks, maintaining a clean work area, and inputting usage and time data into the GlobeTek system. Lifting up to 50 pounds may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–5 years as a printing press operator; lithographic experience preferred.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret communications to perform duties.
• Effective interpersonal skills are needed.
• Ability to perform basic math and understand measurements.
• Ability to interpret written, oral, diagram or scheduling instructions.
• Root cause analysis to determine corrective actions.
• Knowledge of production materials, quality methods and color standards.
• Excellent mechanical aptitude and problem-solving.
• Advanced computer skills and prepress knowledge are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to plant and corporate safety rules, procedures, and guidelines.
• Report safety concerns to supervisor.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area through daily housekeeping.
• Complete make-readies per Job Ticket and Product Specifications.
• Perform press-side quality checks and ensure conformance to specs.
• Operate press to meet customer specifications while monitoring quality and waste.
• Maintain consistent print quality, color, and registration across runs.
• Follow procedures and quality measurements outlined in the BRC standard.
• Complete press make-readies efficiently and perform equipment maintenance as needed.
• Clean plates, cylinders, and ink pans; lubricate press as required.
• Input material usage and time data into the GlobeTek system accurately.
