Qualifications

• Master's degree in Reading, Literacy, Education, or a closely related field.
• Experience teaching reading or literacy to adult learners, college students, or students needing additional academic support.
• Knowledge of literacy assessment, differentiated instruction, and individualized lesson planning.
• Ability to evaluate student progress and modify instructional strategies based on individual needs.
• Strong classroom facilitation, communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
• Patient, supportive, and student-focused approach to help learners achieve measurable progress.

ATS Institute of Technology is seeking a Literacy Instructor to provide individualized and classroom-based literacy instruction to students who need additional support in reading comprehension and academic literacy.

This position helps students strengthen the foundational skills needed to achieve their educational and career goals through targeted instruction, individualized support, and a positive learning environment.

Your Role:

You will assess student literacy abilities, identify areas for growth, and develop instruction that meets students at their current skill level.

You will teach literacy courses, create customized learning plans, monitor academic progress, and help students improve comprehension, fluency, vocabulary, critical reading, and confidence as independent learners.

The anticipated annual salary range for this position is $62,000 - $65,000. Compensation is subject to change at the sole discretion of the institution, based on institutional needs.
