THE POSITION

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

The DAG is looking to fill one (1) Liquor Store Examiner (LSE) 1 position within the Bureau of Liquor Control Audits. The LSE 1 position participates in the examination of the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board (PLCB) operations of approximately 600 Wine and Spirit Shoppes across the Commonwealth and determines compliance with applicable law, regulations, guidelines, rules, and auditing standards. As a Liquor Store Examiner 1, you will perform the following duties:

• Regulation Review: Research laws, regulations, guidelines, and auditing standards
• Record Analysis: Locate, evaluate, and analyze store records and other information
• Data Management: Create, input, access, and retrieve data including but not limited to audit work papers, audit findings, and audit/administrative reports
• Compliance Checking: Examine store operations for adherence to required standards

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

• This position is located in the Southeast region of Pennsylvania, including Chester, Delaware, and Philadelphia counties.
• Full-time employment
• Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
• Occasional travel to auditee sites is required.
• Telework: You will be expected to work from home (telework) full-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.
• Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $53,008.00 (before taxes).

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

• Associate degree from an accredited college/university with an area of concentration in accounting, business, data analytics, finance, economics, math, or a closely related field; or
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university in accounting, business, data analytics, finance, economics, math, or a closely related field; or
• An equivalent combination of education, experience, and training in accounting, auditing, or a closely related field.

Additional Requirements:

• You must be a Pennsylvania resident by the date of hire.
• You must possess a valid Pennsylvania driver's license.
• You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Preferred Qualifications (not required):

• One or more of the following certifications:
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
  • Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE)
  • Certified Government Auditing Professional (CGAP)
  • Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM)
  • Certified Internal Auditor (CIA)
  • Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)
