Job summary

Kinder Morgan, Inc. is seeking a Terminal Operator in Baltimore, MD to receive pipeline deliveries of liquid petroleum products, store them in tanks, and deliver to customers at terminal rack locations.

The role requires operating computer-controlled equipment, inventory management, and coordinating with truck drivers for timely deliveries. The position emphasizes safety, readiness for emergencies, and adherence to company procedures.

Qualifications

• Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and be insurable by the Company Insurance Carrier.
• Basic computer skills: send/receive email, create and maintain records, manipulate motor controlled valves and perform related tasks involved in receiving products, directing to tanks, and delivering to tank trucks.
• Ability to manipulate motor controlled valves and perform other tasks involved in receiving products, directing products to tanks, and making delivery to tank trucks.
• Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing.
• Ability to accept supervision/direction and work effectively with others.

Responsibilities

• Accept pipeline deliveries of liquid petroleum products and direct products to and store in proper tanks.
• Maintain inventory and other information by computer and by gauging tanks and sampling product as needed.
• Handle and test liquid petroleum products.
• Load or assist in loading trucks.
• Perform or assist in preventive and regular maintenance duties.
• Coordinate product delivery with customers and truck drivers.
• Respond to call-outs for trouble shooting or maintenance on facility equipment.
• Perform duties of a first responder in spill or emergency situations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
