Responsibilities

• Supervise the Liquid Processing Department on Shift according to formulas and processing specs to deliver quality finished product for timely shipment.
• Directly supervise Liquid Processors and Processing Assistants to maintain SOPs, logs, and GMP while meeting production goals.
• Communicate Kutol's Mission, Vision, Values and Quality commitment to inspire pride and uphold standards of conduct.
• Assign workload for the shift and coordinate with lab to keep in-spec batches; assist investigations and corrective actions.
• Issue paperwork to facilitate production and coordinate with Warehouse Supervisor for material readiness.
• Recommend hires and ensure training on applicable SOPs; supervise performance reviews and provide updates to Shift Manager.
• Monitor performance and conduct annual reviews; prepare reports and updates as needed.
• Communicate production status to oncoming Shift Manager and Supervisor to ensure smooth shift transitions.
• Uphold plant safety requirements and 5S practices for safety and efficiency.
• May produce batches, perform transfers and clean outs in absence of assigned personnel; troubleshoot equipment as needed.
• Operate a forklift to facilitate production.

Job Summary: Supervise Liquid Processing operations on shift to ensure production runs safely, efficiently, and in a manner that delivers quality product to the customer on-time. Communicate and handle administrative and paperwork tasks as required to facilitate production.
Essential Functions/Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise the Liquid Processing Department on Shift according to formula and processing specifications to deliver quality finished product for timely shipment to the customer
• Use Team Leadership concepts to directly supervise Liquid Processors and Processing Assistants to maintain standard operating procedures, correct documentation & logs, and GMP principles while meeting production goals
• Communicate and support Kutol's Mission, Vision, Values and Quality commitment to inspire pride in the organization and uphold standards of conduct
• Assign workload for the shift and ensure production runs smoothly with communication and cooperation from the lab to keep in spec batches turning through the room, assist in investigations and corrective actions when needed
• Issue paperwork to facilitate production
• Work in cooperation with the Warehouse Supervisor to ensure materials are available to be pulled by the Processors for their batches
• Recommend individuals for hire and ensure that they are trained on all applicable standard operating procedures
• Support and uphold company policy and administesr discipline, does this in consultation with Human Resources & the Plant Manager when the situation warrants
• Monitor TeamMate performance and conduct performance reviews for all assigned TeamMates, including recommendations for increases in compensation
• Complete necessary reports and provide written updates, as necessary to the Shift Manager
• Communicate production status to oncoming Shift Manager and Liquid Processor Supervisor to ensure smooth shift to shift transitions
• Ensure plant safety requirements and guidelines are met at all times, uphold 5S principles for safety and efficiency
• In the absence of assigned personnel, may act to produce batches, facilitate transfers and clean outs
• May troubleshoot equipment to get production back up and running, may identify parts needed for maintenance or repair
• Operate a forklift to facilitate production
• Performs other duties and projects as assigned

Requirements
Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent with Minimum 12th grade proficiency in reading & math
• 5 years job related experience in a like manufacturing/production environment with experience or specialized training in Supervision
  

Knowledge/Skills & Ability:

• Ability to effectively supervise and manage people in a team environment
• Thorough understanding of liquid processing and production processes
• Liquid Processing equipment knowledge with mechanical aptitude & manufacturing skills
• Ability to read and follow formulas and work instructions, properly calculate, weigh and add ingredients as specified
• Good interpersonal and communication skills for teamwork
• Knowledge of the safe handling of hazardous chemicals and applicable raw materials
• Good math and reading ability; ability to write basic reports
• Applicable computer/software skills including the ability to use Microsoft Office Programs, and to navigate and report out of SAP system
• Forklift Certification
  

Physical/Mental Requirements:

• Stand/walk - up to 100% of the time
• Lifting/moving objects (to the waist) up to 60lbs at varying frequencies
• Ability to perform all physical aspects of Liquid Processing job duties
• Hand/eye coordination (machine repairs)
• Tolerance for dusty conditions, heat, and exposure to chemicals, dyes, fragrances and perfumes
