Job summary

Rotech Healthcare Inc. seeks a Linux System Administrator to provide technical support for RedHat Linux, VMware, backup, and system hardening. The role includes mentoring, establishing processes, security strategies, and on-call rotation, with after-hours duties and Eastern Time hours.

The position pays a base salary of $95k–$112k per year and offers a bonus opportunity, reflecting experience and qualifications.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in MIS, CS or equivalent experience required.
Experience with Ansible, Tower or comparable technologies preferred.
Experience with LDAP, Linux administration and scripting preferred.
VMware administration and configuration experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Develops and promotes standard operating procedures.
Ensures data integrity by evaluating and managing software/hardware solutions.
Configures LDAP and maintains Linux scripts (Bash, PHP, Perl).
Manages virtual systems and storage under VMware; participates in on-call rotation.
Mentors other administrators and supports security and system hardening initiatives.
