Job summary

Qualcomm is looking for an IT Engineer to manage server workloads across locations in a critical production environment. Ideal candidates will have strong UNIX knowledge and experience configuring hardware devices.

This position will involve configuring virtualization, addressing technical issues, and collaborating with team members. A Bachelor’s degree is preferred, or equivalent experience is acceptable. The role requires full-time onsite work in San Diego, CA.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of IT-related work experience with a Bachelor’s degree.
• 5+ years of IT-related work experience without a Bachelor’s degree.

Responsibilities

• Manage servers across locations, including Linux and Solaris.
• Configure Veritas cluster and Pacemaker.
• Act as escalation point for technical issues.
• Handle after-hours escalations.
• Partner with representatives across the company.
