Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in Linux OS and C++ applications.
• Strong knowledge of Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8.x architecture and tools.
• Software development experience using C++ on Linux.
• Experience with Linux shell scripting and Python.
• Understanding of Linux kernel and device drivers, especially graphics drivers.
• Familiarity with RPM/YUM repositories and Red Hat packaging.
• Experience with Jenkins, Ansible, and JIRA for build/config/tracking.
• Knowledge of Red Hat kickstart process and configuration.

Responsibilities

• Build and run environments for upgraded OS/platforms and OTS components.
• Design and implement security fixes and conduct security assessments.
• Port and verify applications on new OS versions and OTS components.
• Upgrade product OS platform and OTS components with rollback mechanisms.
• Coordinate with project tracking using JIRA.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Having 10 plus years of experience in Linux OS and C++ applications
• Good knowledge of Red Hat Enterprise Linux version 8.x architecture and tools.
• Software Development experience using C++ on Linux platform. Knowledge of Qt, boost desirable.
• Experience in scripting such as Linux shell scripting and Python.
• Good understanding on Linux kernel and device drivers, particularly graphics drivers.
• Good knowledge of Red Hat Package Management, RPM, yum repositories
• Good knowledge of infrastructure tools such as build management tools such as Jenkins, Configuration management tools such as Ansible, tracking tools such as JIRA.
• Good knowledge of Red Hat Linux kickstart process and configuration
• Knowledge of optimization of OS platform
• Experience in application upgrade installer and knowledge of Installer mechanisms that implement back-up and roll-back in case of any failure during upgrades
• Fair understanding of cybersecurity, security vulnerability assessment and penetration testing
• Experience in designing and implementing security fixes
• Assessment for RHEL platform upgrade and OTS components compatibility
