Job summary

Business Integra (BI) is a global IT services provider delivering end-to-end solutions in development, deployment, integration and support. This full-time in-person role focuses on admin of large-scale Linux-based systems and related technologies.

You will support 100+ developers, manage virtualization platforms, back up critical services, and stay current with evolving tech to enhance enterprise systems.

Qualifications

• Experience with Linux (Red Hat desired).
• HP Proliant servers experience.
• HP/IBM SAN products experience.
• Knowledge of clustered or parallel file systems (GPFS, GFS, OCFS2).
• System security, hardening, and accreditation (e.g. DCID 6/3, ICD-503).
• Automated OS installation.
• Virtualization: VMware, Red Hat Xen, AWS.
• Oracle DB servers (single node and RAC).
• System performance monitoring and tuning.
• Creating, debugging, and enhancing scripts (bash, csh, Perl, Python, expect).
• Source control systems (CVS, SVN, Git).
• Networking basics: NAT, DNS, LDAP, NIS, NFS, iptables.

Responsibilities

• Support development and deployment of large-scale systems across multiple locations.
• Provide second-tier OS support to the operating system and 100+ developers.
• Maintain 99.9% Linux availability with some Windows Server systems.
• Understand IP networks, routing, switching, VLANs, and multicast.
• Adapt to changing requirements and implement new technologies.
