InComm is seeking a Systems Engineer I to manage Linux server environments, implement automation, and collaborate with IT on system stability and upgrades. The role emphasizes scripting, configuration management, and cloud basics to support a scalable fintech infrastructure.

The position focuses on maintaining reliable Linux systems, supporting internal users, and contributing to automation initiatives to reduce repetitive tasks while enhancing security and performance.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in Linux systems administration or infrastructure support.
• Exposure to virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V.
• Familiarity with Git and configuration-management tools such as Ansible.
• Basic knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Basic knowledge of Red Hat Satellite or SUSE Manager.
• Familiarity with Bash or Python scripting.

Responsibilities

• Assess stability, security, and scalability of installed Linux systems.
• Discuss Linux server systems and upgrades with IT managers.
• Install or upgrade Linux systems and servers.
• Provide technical support for internal customers.
• Troubleshoot system and server errors.
• Review system error logs and user-reported errors.
• Maintain server architecture and automation systems.
• Track incidents, problems, outages, and successes.
