Belk is seeking a Linux Systems Engineer to provide technical expertise in implementing and managing Linux infrastructure across the enterprise. This role involves collaborating with architecture and security teams to enforce access controls and system hardening measures required for safeguarding operations.
Applicants should have at least 4 years of experience in Linux system administration and be proficient in shell scripting. The position requires on-site presence at Belk HQ in Charlotte, NC from Tuesday through Thursday.
The Linux Systems Engineer provides technical expertise related to implementation, management, and security of Linux infrastructure across the Belk enterprise. This role is responsible for ensuring projects are implemented according to the plans of the Architecture team. Validating with expertise that strong authentication, access control, and threat mitigation strategies are in place to protect retail operations, corporate environments, customer-facing applications and cloud environments. Additionally, the role will assist in the evaluation, design, and architecture of new technologies in the environment as well as performing server problem resolution and assisting in the development and documentation of technical standards and interface applications.
