Job summary

Intuitive Research and Technology Corporation is seeking an experienced Linux professional to manage and secure our Linux-based infrastructure in classified and unclassified environments in Huntsville, AL. The role includes OS installation, patching, hardening, backups, and lifecycle management, with collaboration across cybersecurity, network, and application teams.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of experience, strong Linux security knowledge, and familiarity with RHEL/Ubuntu, AD integration,

Qualifications

BS or BA degree required.
3+ years of related experience required.
Experience administering Linux servers with RHEL and Ubuntu.
Strong understanding of Linux security and system administration.
Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, routing, firewalls).
Experience with CMMC/NIST environments.
Experience with Microsoft AD and Linux/AD integration.
Ability to obtain/maintain a security clearance.

Responsibilities

Manage, maintain, secure, and enhance Linux-based infrastructure across classified and unclassified environments.
Perform OS installation, configuration, patching, upgrades, vulnerability remediation, hardening, backups, and lifecycle management.
Develop and improve tools; maintain technical documentation for configurations and changes.
Collaborate with cybersecurity, network, infrastructure, and application teams to ensure secure, reliable systems.
