Job summary

CONTROLTEC LLC is seeking a hardworking Systems Administrator to manage daily operations of Linux systems. The ideal candidate will possess 1-2 years of system administration experience and be capable of ensuring server performance and uptime.

The role requires strong communication skills, troubleshooting expertise, and familiarity with Debian-based distributions like Ubuntu. A flexible work schedule and comprehensive benefits package will be provided.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience in System Administration, specifically in Linux environments.
• Strong technical aptitude and ability to research and solve complex issues independently.
• Ability to effectively communicate issues and resolutions to both technical and non-technical users.

Responsibilities

• Administer daily operations of Linux environment(s) and related servers.
• Provide application and server support to clients.
• Run health checks and ensure 100% uptime.
• Conduct system recovery scenarios and configure backups.

Skills

System Administration experience in a Linux environment

Server hardware & networking experience

Troubleshooting Linux systems

Technical aptitude

Effective communication

Familiarity with Ubuntu

Familiarity with Object Based Storage

Familiarity with VMware

Python scripting experience

Education

4-year degree in IT, MIS, Computer Science or equivalent work experience
