Position Overview
SAIC is seeking a Linux Systems / Cloud Administrator to serve on a team supporting our customer, the HQ USINDOPACOM J76, K. Mark Takai Pacific Warfighting Center. The systems and cloud administrator will be part of a close team that is maintaining, enhancing and upgrading a myriad of applications and services within an enterprise environment. As part of the team, you will participate in implementation and maintenance of Cloud and On‑Prem IT Infrastructure to support the customer.
Responsibilities
- Administer all Linux servers (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu) across the enterprise
- Monitor health, performance, and availability of Linux infrastructure; remediate issues
- Provide HW/OS support to Modeling & Simulation (M&S) and C4I systems during exercises
- Patch Linux servers (NDM, PTEN‑S) and apply Linux STIGs
- Maintain satellite servers and local repos
- Maintain and develop Ansible playbooks for configuration management and automation
- Maintain Kickstart for automated Linux provisioning
- Develop and maintain Terraform infrastructure‑as‑code modules
- Administer and manage Cloud Infrastructure and services (M365, Intune, etc.)
- Remediate Linux ACAS vulnerabilities and respond to CTOs affecting Linux systems
- Maintain SOPs and troubleshooting guides for Linux and cloud environments
- Assist other Systems team members with infrastructure and server administration tasks
- Perform other Systems Administration tasks as assigned
Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree and nine (9)+ years of experience; additional four (4) years considered in lieu of a degree
- Experience in Systems Administration across various technologies
- Experience installing, configuring and troubleshooting Linux systems
- Experience managing and troubleshooting cloud infrastructure and services
- Working knowledge of network protocols (DHCP, DNS, SMTP, etc.)
- Working knowledge of operating systems (Windows 11, Windows Server, Linux, ESXi)
- Working knowledge of infrastructure hardware and appliances
- Working knowledge of security compliance in a DoD environment (STIGs, GPOs, SCAP, FedRAMP)
Required Certifications
- Current DoD 8570 IAT II compliance certification (Security+ CE or greater) prior to hire
Required Clearances
- Must have an active Secret clearance with ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance
- Must be a current U.S. citizen
Target salary range $120,001 - $160,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
