Job summary

Si Tec Consulting is seeking a seasoned Systems Administrator to support DoD-related infrastructure in Maryland. The role focuses on containerized deployments, automation, and secure operations for developers.

You will work in an Agile environment, manage Linux (Red Hat/CentOS), implement STIGs, and maintain documentation while collaborating with security teams.

A Secret clearance is required, with potential for Top-Secret, and US citizenship is mandatory.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of UNIX/Linux and Windows experience.
• Experience with Linux servers (Red Hat, CentOS) maintenance.
• DoD 8140 & 5239 compliant (Security+ cert and OS cert).
• DoD Information Assurance/Cyber policy; STIGs and system hardening.
• Active Secret Clearance; ability to obtain Top-Secret clearance.
• US Citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Container integration and deployment support; Kubernetes or Docker Swarm.
• Automate maintenance, server builds, and patching with Ansible and scripts.
• Support infrastructure for Agile development; maintain CI/CD pipelines.

ABOUT SITEC

SUMMARY

• Container Integration: Utilize familiarity with containerization concepts to support application deployment. Assist with the management of container orchestration tools such as Kubernetes or Docker Swarm.
• Automation & Scripting: Apply working knowledge of Ansible and other scripting tools to automate routine maintenance, server builds, and patching for optimum performance.
• Development Support: Work within an Agile scrum methodology to provide infrastructure support for software development teams. Help maintain CI/CD pipelines for containerized applications.
• Systems Maintenance: Install, configure, and manage Linux operating systems (Red Hat) and related toolsets.
• Security & Compliance: Perform continuous monitoring, scanning, and hardening of systems to ensure they remain compliant with NAVAIR and DISA policies. Execute DoD STIG applications and other cyber compliancy actions.
• Documentation & Operations: Maintain a robust knowledge base including system descriptions, procedures, and event logs. Respond promptly to system failures to ensure high availability for applications

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience: 5+ years of hands-on experience working with UNIX/Linux and Windows.
• Technical Proficiency: Experience with the build, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Linux Servers (Red Hat, CentOS).
• Compliance: Must be DoD 8140 & 5239 compliant (Security+ certified and OS certificate/certification).
• Cybersecurity: Experience in DoD Information Assurance/Cyber policy, specifically implementing STIGs and system hardening.
• Clearance: Active Secret Clearance is required. Must have the ability to obtain a Top-Secret clearance.
• Citizenship: Must be a US Citizen.
