Intuitive Research and Technology Corp. is seeking an experienced Linux System Administrator to manage and secure Linux-based infrastructure in Huntsville, AL, spanning classified and unclassified environments.

The role covers OS installation, patching, vulnerability remediation, backups, performance monitoring, and lifecycle management while collaborating with cybersecurity and network teams to meet DoD cybersecurity requirements.

Qualifications

• BS or BA degree required.
• 3+ years of related Linux administration experience.
• Experience administering Linux servers with RHEL and Ubuntu.
• Strong understanding of Linux security and system administration.
• Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, routing, firewalls).
• Experience supporting CMMC, NIST 800-171, or NIST 800-53 environments.
• Experience with Microsoft Active Directory and Linux/AD integration.
• Ability to obtain or maintain a security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, patch, and upgrade Linux servers (RHEL/Ubuntu).
• Hardening, backups, performance monitoring, and lifecycle management.
• Develop and improve tooling; maintain documentation of configurations and changes.
