The role demands on-site presence to manage enterprise Linux environments, ensuring reliability, security, and performance across production, staging, and development environments. Responsibilities include configuring and maintaining RHEL servers, patching, tuning, and implementing security best practices, with collaboration across teams to support critical workloads.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with Linux RHEL system administration in enterprise environments.
• Deep understanding of system configuration and hardening.
• Networking fundamentals including DNS, DHCP, routing, and firewalls.
• Storage management using LVM, NFS, and iSCSI.
• Experience with system monitoring and log analysis.
• Shell scripting (Bash, sh) for automation.
• YUM/DNF package management and systemd services.
• LDAP NSS/PAM/SSSD and Sendmail/SMTP knowledge.
• Experience with virtualization such as VMware or KVM.
• Cloud platform experience (AWS, Azure, GCP).

Responsibilities

• Knowledge of networking fundamentals including DNS, DHCP, routing, and firewalls.
• Experience with storage management such as LVM, NFS, and iSCSI.
• Proficiency with system monitoring and log analysis.
• Proficiency with shell scripting (Bash, sh) for automation.
• Experience with package management (YUM, DNF) and system services (systemd).
• Working knowledge of LDAP (NSS/PAM/SSSD) and Sendmail/SMTP.
• Database exposure.
• Familiarity with virtualization technologies such as VMware or KVM.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.

Preferred

• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform.
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and tools including Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions.
• Familiarity with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
• Understanding of containerization (Docker) and orchestration including Kubernetes or OpenShift.
• Experience with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Nagios, or Zabbix.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Red Hat certifications such as RHCSA or RHCE.
• Cloud certifications from AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Strong communication and documentation abilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
