Job summary

LD power automation seeks a Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain Linux-based software. You’ll build tools for deployment and ops, partner with DevOps to ensure performance on Linux servers, and troubleshoot production systems.

Proficient in Python, Shell, and MySQL, you’ll help shape our Linux-first stack. This onsite role requires 3–6 years of experience, a CS/engineering degree, and Git proficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 3-6 years of professional software development experience.
• Strong Linux administration and Shell scripting.
• Experience with Python and MySQL.
• Proficiency with Git and version control.
• Ability to obtain a TWIC card.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain software applications with a focus on Linux-based systems.
• Build and optimize tools and services for deployment, monitoring, and operations in Linux environments.
• Collaborate with DevOps and Infrastructure teams for seamless integration.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production system issues.
• Write clean, scalable code primarily in Python and JavaScript with MySQL usage.
• Contribute to architecture and design decisions with a Linux-first mindset.
• Improve system performance and diagnose low-level issues.
• Participate in architectural discussions and tech decisions.
• Stay updated on trends in systems programming, security, and open-source.
