Millennium is seeking a highly skilled Linux/low-latency systems engineer for a globally distributed trading support role in New York. You will work with application developers and portfolio managers to deliver ultra-low-latency capabilities on a production Linux stack, with on‑call rotations and ongoing documentation maintenance.
The ideal candidate has a strong background in Linux internals, kernel bypass tech, and network protocols, plus scripting skills and a collaborative mindset.

The Latency Critical Trading team delivers high‑quality, low‑latency trading capabilities for Millennium’s businesses through a world‑class Linux platform and production support. The team brings together Linux, network, SRE, and software engineers focused on stable, high‑performing server environments, continuous learning, and meaningful platform improvement.
Millennium offers a total compensation package which includes a base salary, discretionary performance bonus, and comprehensive benefits. The estimated base salary range for this position is $175,000 to $250,000, which is specific to New York and may change in the future. When finalizing an offer, we take into consideration an individual’s experience level and the qualifications they bring to the role to formulate a competitive total compensation package.
