Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services in New Jersey is seeking a Linux Engineer with 4–6 years of hands-on experience to manage and optimize enterprise Linux infrastructure, spanning on-premise and cloud environments.

You will perform server administration, performance tuning, security hardening, automation, and troubleshooting to support mission-critical applications, with a focus on reliability and scalable operations.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of hands-on Linux administration in enterprise environments.
• Experience installing, configuring, maintaining Linux servers (RHEL/CentOS/Rocky/Ubuntu).
• Experience with OS upgrades, patch management, migrations and vulnerability remediation.
• Experience monitoring server health and resource utilization.

Linux Engineer

Seeking a highly motivated Linux Administrator(Cloud/On-prem) with 4–6 years of hands‑on experience in managing, maintaining, and supporting Linux-based infrastructure in enterprise environments. The candidate will be responsible for server administration, performance tuning, security hardening, automation, troubleshooting, and supporting business‑critical applications hosted on Linux platforms.

• 4 to 6 years of experience in Linux admin on Cloud/On-Prem
• Hands-on experience in Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Linux servers (RHEL, CentOS, Rocky Linux, Ubuntu).
• Extensive Hands‑on experience in Perform OS upgrades, patch management, migration, vulnerability remediation, kernel updates and troubleshooting
• Good in monitor server health, CPU, memory, storage, and network utilization
• Exposed/worked into high availability and optimal performance of Linux systems

• RHCSA (Red Hat Certified System Administrator)
• RHCE (Red Hat Certified Engineer)

Salary Range- $85,000-$100,000 a year
