Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Linux & cyber tools administrator to join the Diplomatic Security Cyber Mission (DSCM) program in Beltsville, MD. You will provide Linux and cyber tools administration and Tier 2 support across global systems, while maintaining Ansible playbooks and Satellite-based patching.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree with 5 years' experience (3 years with a Master’s), plus security clearance eligibility. Strong scripting and documentation skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree plus 5 years of experience; 3 years with a Master’s degree.
• Hands-on administers Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 7, 8, 9.
• Experience writing and modifying Ansible playbooks for automated deployment.
• Experience with Red Hat Satellite for distributed RHEL patching at scale.
• Familiarity with DISA STIGs and system hardening practices.
• Experience with SCAP tools for scanning and compliance validation.

Peraton’s DSCM program encompasses technical, engineering, data analytics, cyber security, management, operational, logistical, and administrative support to aid and advise DoS Cyber & Technology Security (CTS) Directorate. This includes protecting a global cyber infrastructure comprising networks, systems, information, and mobile devices all while identifying and responding to cyber risks and threats. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations.
