Job summary

A leading IT Systems Integrator is seeking a Linux Architect to provide technical leadership in Data Center Operations. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of IT experience, particularly with Linux and VMware technologies. Responsibilities include system analysis, technical strategy, and mentoring junior staff. A strong background in various operating systems is required. This is a 6-month contract position with a likely extension.

Qualifications

• Minimum of ten years of IT experience in a production environment.
• Proven in-depth knowledge of multiple operating systems: UNIX, Linux, Windows, Cisco.
• Experience as a technical lead with enterprise-class infrastructure systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Senior Manager, Data Center Operations for leadership.
• Maintain knowledge of current systems and solutions.
• Function as a high-level contributor in technical areas.

Skills

Linux Suse v11/ Red Hat v4 or 5

Heavy VMware Experience

Commercial Cloud experience

Education

Cisco, Linux, UNIX or Microsoft certifications
