Dormont Manufacturing Co is seeking an experienced IT professional to manage and maintain Linux systems, ensuring optimal performance across all platforms. This role involves deploying systems, automating processes, and ensuring security compliance as part of their commitment to operational excellence.
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, a deep understanding of Linux, and experience with automation tools like Ansible as well as cloud platforms. Responsibilities
System Deployment & Maintenance: Install, configure, and maintain Linux distributions (e.g., Ubuntu, CentOS, AlmaLinux) across physical and virtual servers.
Automation & Scripting: Write and maintain scripts in Bash, Python to automate routine administration tasks and server provisioning.
System Monitoring & Performance Tuning: Utilize monitoring tools (e.g., Zabbix, Prometheus, Nagios) to proactively identify resource bottlenecks and optimize server performance.
Security & Patch Management: Apply security patches, maintain firewall configurations, and manage user access permissions to safeguard critical company data.
Backup & Disaster Recovery: Design and execute regular system backups and disaster recovery plans to ensure 100% data integrity.
Troubleshooting & Support: Resolve escalated hardware and software issues, and manage work orders through IT ticketing systems
Maintain wide range Business applications and systems based on Linux: Jira, Conflunece, ERP (EPR (Deploys, Postgres, Java, Tomcat, Zookeeper, Kafka, Logs)), Bitbucket, Crucible, Testrail, Perforce, SVN, Git, Nexus repository (Ubuntu 20,22,24, Almalinux, NPM), Docker (Docker Compose, Swarm, logs, service inspect), Ansible (inventory, playbooks, roles)

Test Disaster recovery procedure for all locations.
