Job summary

Verithium is seeking a Linux Administrator for a long-term consulting engagement in New York. The role centers on integrating Linux with a master data management platform and supporting multiple servers across environments.

You will manage core Linux databases, applications, web servers and related documentation, implement configuration control, and resolve complex integration issues to maintain system reliability and performance.

Qualifications

• 8-10+ years of Linux administration in a complex systems environment.
• Expert knowledge of Red Hat Linux.
• Experience with Web Services, Apache, Java, Tomcat, Shell scripting, Perl, Python.
• Experience with clustering, load balancing, scripting, thread management, logs, backups.
• Experience with Master Data Management systems would be a plus.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or allied field.

• Participate in the management of Linux integration with a master data management platform.
• Manage core Linux Database, application, web and additional servers maintaining and updating all documentation.
• Create and maintain the operating system hardware and software configuration database/library of all documentation.
• Investigate and resolve problems involving complex system integration.

Skills/Experience :

• 8-10+ years of experience as a Linux Administrator in a complicated systems environment, who has demonstrated the capability to offer solutions using a wide range of technologies.
• Expert level knownledge in Linux Red Hat.
• Solid experience with Web Services, Apache, Java, Tomcat, Shell scripting, Perl, Python.
• Experience with Clustering, Load Balancing, Scripting, Thread management, logs - Backups and Recovery.
• Experience with and/or knowledge of Data Management & Master Data Management systems would be a plus.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or an allied field.
