Job summary

Oorwin AI is seeking a Linux Systems Administrator to support HPC environments, AI clusters, and research computing tools. Experience with grant-funded research environments is highly preferred.

The role involves administering Linux-based enterprise servers, HPC clusters, VDI, cloud servers, and related infrastructure, with a focus on performance tuning, deployments, and scheduled job systems. Strong Linux experience is essential; Windows admin skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience administering Linux-based enterprise server environments.
• Familiarity with HPC cluster management and scheduling tools.
• Experience with backups and storage technologies.
• Knowledge of virtualization (VMware) and cloud server management is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Administers and supports Linux based enterprise server environments including HPC clusters, VDI, cloud servers, Linux web servers, NFS servers, VCL Cloud, and VMware environments.
• Performs installations, patches, monitoring, and performance tuning for compute nodes and login nodes.
• Provides support for HPC scheduling systems and automated deployment of compute nodes.

Looking for a Linux Systems Administrator with experience supporting HPC environments, AI clusters, and research computing tools.

Experience supporting grant-funded research environments is highly preferred.

Windows System Administrator (limited experience okay, as long as strong Linux experience)

• Administers and supports Linux based enterprise server environments. This includes, but is not limited to, HPC cluster management, VDI, Cloud server management, Linux web servers, NFS servers, VCL Cloud, Linux Satellite servers, VMWare virtualization Environment, and load testing tools. Performs installations and testing patches, applications, performance monitoring and tuning.

Provides support in the management, tuning, operating systems, parallel file systems, automating deployment of compute nodes, managing and tuning, login nodes, and HPC scheduling systems.

Provides technical support for servers, operating systems and applications, including Cloud Computing, for the entire Enterprise as found in a central IT organization.

• Manages the back-end support servers or services such as file sharing, database technologies and storage systems as needed.
