Job summary

Cianbro in Columbus, OH is seeking a field electrical transmission/lineworker to install, maintain, and repair distribution systems. You will adhere to safety practices, perform structure erection, conductor stringing, and operate equipment such as digger derricks and bucket trucks.

The role requires CDL A, CPR/First Aid, ability to climb poles and work at heights, and strong customer-facing skills. This is an outdoor, weather-exposed position with equal opportunity employment.

Qualifications

• CDL A license is required at hire.
• CPR and First Aid certification are required.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to safety practices and procedures for both Cianbro and the client (grounding, rubber glove & sleeve use).
• Structure erection and framing.
• Conductor installation including stringing, sagging, clipping, and dead-ending.
• Safely install, maintain, and repair electrical distribution systems.
• Assist in the development of apprentices as needed.
• Safely operate transmission equipment (digger derrick, bucket trucks, wire pulling equipment).

Job Responsibilities

• Adhere to safety practices and procedures for both Cianbro and the client as required, such as grounding and rubber glove & sleeve use.
• Structure erection and framing.
• Conductor installation including conductor and OPGW stringing, sagging, clipping, and dead-ending.
• Safely install, maintain, and repair electrical distribution systems.
• Willing to assist in the development of apprentices.
• Safely operate various types of transmission equipment i.e. digger derrick, bucket trucks, wire pulling equipment.

Qualifications / Requirements

• Record of safe driving (CDL A required at hire).
• CPR and First Aid certification.
• Ability to climb poles and structures.
• Strong understanding and safety sense relating to energized systems.
• Ability to work effectively with internal and external customers.
• Wear specialized protective or safety equipment, working outdoors exposed to all weather conditions and terrain including the new right of way construction.
• Must be able to work at elevated heights.
