Job summary

Soiled Laundry Sorte is seeking an attentive Sorter to classify returned, soiled linen in preparation for washing. You will handle bags weighing up to 45 lbs, discard plastic, and pre-sort items to match the soil belt workflow.

Operators move along the belt, sorting into bins or slots, and you will assist with moving empty carts for cleaning and reuse. Additional duties may be assigned as needed in a fast-paced facility.

Responsibilities

• Open customer returned soil bags (bags weigh ~45 lbs.), discard plastic, spread product out to allow visibility on soil belt. Pre-sort classifications as required. Production standard are 45 bags or 2000 lbs. opened per hour for each operator.
• Operators located on the work platform float between multiple positions moving up and down the belt sorting into the appropriate bins or slots.
• Move empty carts to appropriate area for cleaning and reuse.
• Any other duties as assigned or deemed necessary.
