Job summary

Mohawk Valley Health System in Utica, NY is seeking a Linen Services Associate to maintain and process resident linens. You will ensure linens are washed, dried, folded, and stored properly while keeping the laundry area clean and organized.

Responsibilities include delivering linens to floors, supporting Environmental Services as needed, and complying with all linen procedures. High School diploma or GED is required; healthcare experience is preferred.

Job Summary

Under the direct supervision of the Linen Services Supervisor, the Linen Services Associate are to keep resident/patient linens clean and washed in a manner, which will preserve color and fabric, and avoid contamination and spreading of bacteria. They will also keep linens and clothing washed, dried, ironed, folded and stored in designate areas on a daily basis, as well as to keep laundry area and equipment clean.

• Will keep equipment and laundry area clean

Education/Experience Requirements

REQUIRED :

• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.

PREFERRED :

• Some experience in healthcare.
