Job summary

Crown Health Care Laundry Services in State Line, SC is seeking a Laundry Sorter to separate returned, soiled linen into the correct classifications in preparation for washing.

You will open soil bags weighing about 45 lbs, spread items for visibility on the soil belt, and sort into required classifications. The role requires standing, bending, walking, lifting, and moving carts in a facility with moving parts and exposure to varying temperatures.

Responsibilities

• Open customer returned soil bags (bags weigh ~45 lbs.), discard plastic, spread product out to allow for visibility on soil belt. Pre-sort classifications as required.
• Operators move between positions on the work platform, sorting into the appropriate bins or slots.
• Move empty carts to appropriate area for cleaning and reuse.
• Any other duties as assigned or deemed necessary.
• If an attendant sees something in the soil bag other than regular items, they must dispose of it appropriately.

Job Summary:

The primary purpose of this position is to sort returned, soiled linen into appropriate classifications in preparation for washing.

Duties & Essential Job Functions

• Open customer returned soil bags (bags weigh ~45 lbs.), discard plastic, spread product out to allow for visibility on soil belt. Pre-sort classifications as required. Production standard are 45 bags or 2000 lbs. opened per hour for each operator.
• Operators located on the work platform float between multiple positions moving up and down the belt sorting into the appropriate bins or slots.
• Move empty carts to appropriate area for cleaning and reuse.

Other Functions and Responsibilities

• Any other duties as assigned or deemed necessary.

• Anything unusual or outside of normal operations

• If an attendant sees something in the soil bag other than regular items, they must dispose of it appropriately.
• Call maintenance for repair of equipment if something is not working correctly.
• Tag broken carts for maintenance to repair
