The Verland Foundation Inc. in Sewickley, Pennsylvania is hiring a Laundry Aide for the Main Campus.

This hourly, non-exempt role involves ensuring clean linen and related items are available for individuals served, with a full-time evening schedule from 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM Sunday through Thursday. Responsibilities include handling soiled linen, sorting, washing, drying, and delivering laundry, while maintaining equipment and the laundry area.

Qualifications

• Must understand and follow simple oral or written instructions.
• Must maintain a valid driver's license.
• Formal laundry training experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collect all soiled linen from all departments at designated times.
• Sort linen according to material and status.
• Wash all linen in appropriate washers.
• Use soap formulated for specific types of laundering.
• Use correct washer settings and amounts of soap as recommended by manufacturer.
• Dry all laundry, fold and deliver to the proper department.
• Keep laundry equipment and area clean and report malfunctions to supervisor.
