Job summary

The Salvation Army in Bell, CA is seeking a reliable Laundry/Janitorial Technician responsible for washing, drying, sorting, folding, transporting, and distributing linens and resident clothes in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires lifting up to 50 pounds, flexible scheduling including evenings, weekends and holidays, and a proactive approach to inventory and equipment maintenance. CPR/First Aid and TB clearance are required prior to employment.

Qualifications

• Two years of laundry or janitorial experience in a fast-paced environment.
• CPR and First Aid certification required before employment.
• TB clearance prior to hire.

Responsibilities

• Wash, dry, sort, fold, transport and distribute linens and resident clothes.
• Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and inform manager.
• Maintain laundry equipment and report maintenance needs.
• Be available for emergency on-call.
• Work flexible evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Communicate with staff and residents professionally.
• Perform additional laundry and janitorial tasks as assigned.
