Qualifications

  • Operate machines efficiently to meet plant demands.
  • Assist with general cleaning and housekeeping in the plant.
  • Backfill to other positions/departments as needed.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor.

The line technician is responsible for general equipment operations and general assistance throughout the butter production’s print and packaging department.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Comply with applicable good manufacturing, safety and quality assurance practices
  • Verify quality control items such as product weights, coding and packaging
  • Maintain proper documentation in all formats of recordkeeping
  • Operate various machines at an efficient level to fulfill plant demands
  • Assist with general cleaning and housekeeping throughout the plant as needed
  • Backfill to other positions/departments as needed
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Attention to detail and good organizational skills
  • Ability to adapt effectively within a continually changing and demanding environment
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the products manufactured and the processes involved
  • Basic understanding of equipment operations and minor troubleshooting ability
  • Must be able to demonstrate an ability and willingness to communicate effectively in order to maintain high levels of safety, quality and efficiency
  • Ability to read and comprehend standard operating procedures and company guidelines in order to maintain regulatory compliance
  • Ability to understand daily production needs
  • Demonstrate the Qualified Individual’s responsibilities for the Preventative Control-Cleaning and Sanitation Program

Education/Experience:

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
  • Food manufacturing, material handling and forklift operation experience preferred
