Job summary

North Star Aviation in Mankato, MN is hiring a full-time Second Shift Line Service Technician to work 4:00pm–12:00am, with some days beyond. You will provide ground service, marshal aircraft, refuel, tow, deice, and operate ground power units.

Responsibilities

• Handle aviation fuels, fueling and towing, quality control, and daily paperwork.
• Maintain a professional appearance and manner with customers and employees.
• Perform requested customer service duties.
• Adhere to all safety policies.
• Demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills with coworkers and customers.

North Star Aviation in Mankato is looking for a full-time Second Shift Line Service Technician. Hours are 4:00pm – 12:00am, with some days beyond 12:00am as needed. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, and 401k with a 4% company match. Company-paid short and long-term disability, and an HSA with a $2,700 yearly company contribution are also provided.

Responsibilities

• Provide ground service for all sizes of aircraft, including marshalling on arrival and departure, placement of chocks and cones, refueling, deployment of ground power units, towing, and deicing.
• Wing walking.
• Greet passengers, pilots and crew.
• Handle aviation fuels, including fueling and towing aircraft, maintaining quality control of fuel through procedures, and completing applicable daily paperwork.
• Maintain a professional appearance and manner with all customers and employees.
• Perform any requested customer service duties.
• Adhere to all safety policies as outlined by North Star Aviation.
• Use exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to interact with coworkers and customers.

Qualifications

• Education & Experience: High school Diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in Line Service duties is helpful, but not required.
• Must have a valid state ID

Physical/Environmental Demands

• Frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, reaching, pushing, and pulling.
• Ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs routinely and up to 100 lbs occasionally.
• Must have high situational awareness.
• Frequent work in small spaces, extreme temperatures, heights above six feet, and noisy environments.
