Job summary

Fontainebleau Fort Lauderdale, a Skyservice company, is accepting applications for Line Service Technicians. Line Service Technicians are responsible for delivering excellent customer service to arriving and departing clientele while performing a wide range of aircraft ground servicing tasks.

This role is outdoors in all weather and seasons, with weekend and holiday shifts as required by the schedule. Training is provided and a valid driver’s license is required to operate ground equipment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Basic computer skills are needed.
• Good communication skills are essential.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Being mechanically inclined is an asset.
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs? (not stated in this ad)

• Aviation experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Safely marshal aircraft in and out, securing aircraft and assisting with car valet as needed.
• Safely operate fuel trucks and complete aircraft fueling orders.
• Perform aviation/jet fuel quality checks and tests.
• Document fuel quality and inspections on required forms.
• Tow aircraft in and out of hangars and on ramps.
• Provide ground services such as lavatory waste disposal, oxygen, and potable water.
• Ensure readiness and replenishment of anti-ice devices during winter.
• Maintain professional appearance and conduct with customers and coworkers.
• Keep facilities and equipment clean.
• Perform other duties as required.

PURPOSE

Fontainebleau Fort Lauderdale, a Skyservice company, is accepting applications for Line Service Technicians. Line Service Technicians are responsible for providing excellent customer service to arriving and departing clientele, performing a wide variety of aircraft ground servicing activities. This position involves working primarily outside during all seasons, including weekends and holidays depending on scheduling needs.

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES

• Safely marshalling in and out arriving and departing aircrafts, taking care to secure the aircraft and provide car valet service as necessary;
• Safely operate fuel trucks - fueling and completing aircraft orders;
• Handle aviation/jet fuel quality checks by conducting various tests and procedures;
• Document fuel quality and fueling equipment inspections on applicable forms;
• Tow aircraft in and out of hangars and on aprons/ramps;
• Provide any number of ground services to aircrafts (i.e. lavatory waste disposal, oxygen, and potable water etc.);
• Ensure readiness and replenishment of the anti-ice devices during winter activities;
• Maintain a professional appearance and conduct with customers and coworkers;
• Maintain the cleanliness of all facilities and equipment;
• Other duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS REQUIRED

• Excellent customer service skills;
• Being mechanically-inclined is considered an asset;

• Ability to safely use and climb ladders;
• Ability to work outside in a variety of weather/environmental conditions.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

• Be at least 18 years of age;
• Legally entitled to work in the United States;
• Must be able to successfully complete and pass pre-employment drug and alcohol testing and other background checks necessary to obtain an airport restricted area pass.

SCHEDULE

Sunday to Saturday – 8 to 10 hour shifts. Must be available to work statutory holidays as required.
