Job summary

Sheltair is seeking a dependable aviation ramp service technician to greet and marshal aircraft, fuel jets, provide passenger shuttle, and assist with ramp operations. The role requires physical effort and adherence to FAA/DOT guidelines. Training and safety programs are provided, with equal opportunity employment.

The position involves lifting up to 50 pounds, working in outdoor environments, and performing various support tasks across ramp and customer areas.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Must complete NATA safety initial and recurrent every 2 years.
  • Must possess a valid state driver’s license; CDL preferred.
  • Must successfully complete the company’s training program.
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check per FAA/DOT guidelines.

  • Provide lavatory and water service as required.
  • Provide shuttle service for passengers/crew as required.
  • Fuel aircraft Jet-A and 100LL as required.
  • Assist with customer service duties as required.
  • Provide oil for aircraft as required.
  • Assist with general cleaning and debris removal from ramp, building and customer area.
  • Assist passengers and/or crew with baggage/cargo as needed.
  • Assist with wing walking duties as required.
  • Sump fuel tanks and trucks daily and record findings.
  • Comply with all company and airport regulations.
  • Perform other duties as needed.

Line Service Technician will work with fuels and chemicals that may pose a serious health and/or safety hazard if improperly handled. The noise level in the work environment is usually very loud.
