The role requires eight or more years in maintenance project management, a valid FAA A&P license, and strong leadership to oversee a cross-functional team and interact with customers and executives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Aircraft Maintenance Technology or related field.
  • Must hold FAA A&P license in good standing.
  • Eight+ years of related experience, including five years in PM/supervisory roles.
  • Experience with tier-one customer aircraft maintenance programs.
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, Project).

Responsibilities

  • Plan, schedule, and manage all aircraft maintenance and repair activities for a customer program across hangar and line operations.
  • Serve as liaison with customers and project supervisors to maximize satisfaction while controlling costs.
  • Ensure maintenance activities comply with FAA regulations and customer requirements.
  • Oversee budget items including fixed hours, T&M hours, EBITDA, material leftovers, and turnaround time.
  • Lead the program team, escalate unresolved issues to the Director of Maintenance, and prepare milestone/status reports.

Position Summary

Plans, organizes, and manages customer interface in aircraft maintenance and repair operations for designated customer programs including both hangar and line maintenance activities. Develops and implements actions to accomplish delivery of quality products and services in accordance with aircraft maintenance schedules. Develops operating plans and manpower requirements necessary to meet both short and long term objectives. Expectation is to consistently meet set KPIs, set clear expectations for supervisors and hold them accountable to those expectations, and ensure 100% safety compliance at all times.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Plan, schedule, and manage all activities of aircraft maintenance and repair operations on a customer program, including both hangar and line maintenance activities.
  • Provide liaison directly with customers, and Project Supervisors within the limits of existing contracts and agreed-upon work scopes, to ensure maximum customer satisfaction while managing cost-effective operations.
  • Ensure that all maintenance activities comply with customer requirements, FAA regulations, and company policy.
  • Responsible for all budgetary items to include but not limited to fixed hours, T&M hours, EBITDA, leftover material and TAT.
  • Responsible for managing the program team to adequately address all relevant issues within applicable specifications and standards. Escalates issues that cannot be resolved by the team to the Director of Maintenance.
  • Prepare necessary customer requirement plans to ensure achievement of planned milestones. Prepares other reports and correspondence relative to program operations, status, costs and status sheet to accurately reflect the aircraft status.
  • Maintain liaison with management in other functional areas to exchange information, coordinate efforts, report status, and resolve problems.
  • Initiate and recommend approval of personnel actions including PTO, pay changes, performance appraisals, promotions, transfers, and leaves of absence.
  • Interview, select and/or recommend hire of employees; and provides appropriate training for departmental personnel.
  • Document, report, and investigate all accidents in accordance with SMS policy and procedures.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Position Profile

Academic Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Aircraft Maintenance Technology or related field; or equivalent background providing knowledge of appropriate business, industry, and technical principles, procedures and management techniques.

Languages Must be able to read, write, and speak effectively in English regarding safety sensitive work activities, per FAA requirements.

Special Licenses Position requires FAA A&P license in good standing.

Previous Experience Minimum 8 (eight) years related experience, including at least five years in a project management and supervisory capacity, providing knowledge of tier one customer’s aircraft maintenance program.

Integrated technical and operations management experience Required.

Tools (technology, special equipment, etc.) Proficiency in MS Office applications to include: Outlook, Excel, Word, and Project.
