Job summary

Air Evac Lifeteam is hiring a Helicopter Pilot to provide medical air transportation services. You will work with a team of medical experts to safely transport patients, ensuring aircraft readiness and regulatory compliance.

This role requires a rotorcraft FAA Commercial Certificate, helicopter instrument rating, and a Class II medical certificate, plus extensive flight hours. On-duty housing and substantial sign-on/retention bonuses are offered.

Qualifications

• Must hold a rotorcraft FAA Commercial Certificate.
• Must have helicopter instrument rating.
• Must hold FAA Class II Medical Certificate.
• Total flight hours ≥ 2000.
• Helicopter hours ≥ 1500.
• Helicopter PIC hours ≥ 1000.
• Turbine helicopter hours ≥ 500.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport customers with a medical team to and from locations and facilities.
• Ensure aircraft readiness for flight dispatch per manuals and Lifeteam requirements.
• Maintain accurate regulatory documentation and records.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, flight crews, facilities, and partners.
• Provide shift-change information to the next pilot and team.

$106,511 - $117,162 including 20% Geo Modifier

$15K Sign on Bonus, subject to eligibility

Retention Bonus plans ($40,000 after 3 years plus additional retention bonuses once completed)

Responsibilities

• Working with a team of medical expertstosafelytransport customers to and fromlocations and facilities
• Ensure aircraft readiness for flight dispatchesas described in the appropriate manuals,includingallFARand Air Evac Lifeteamrequirements, andaircraft cleanlinessduties
• MaintainaccurateAEL and regulatorydocumentation andrecord keeping
• Effectively communicate and collaboratewith dispatch, flight crews,facilities,and partners
• Provide shift change infoto successive pilotandteam followingprotocol forrecordingAir Evac Lifeteam change boarddetails
• Accountable tomaintainrequiredcertifications and ongoing training

MinimumRequirements

• Current Rotorcraft FAA Commercial Certificate
• Helicopter instrument rating
• Current FAA Class II Medical Certificate
• 2,000 Total Flight Hours
• 1,500 Helicopter Hours
• 1,000 Helicopter PIC Hours
• 500 Turbine Helicopter Hours
• 100 hours night unaided, or 50 hours unaided with 100 hours aided
• 230 pound weight limit with flight gear
