Eversource is seeking a Fully Qualified Line Mechanic in Hadley, MA. The role requires at least one year of experience, a high school diploma, CAST test, a valid driver's license, and a CDL.
The job involves transmission work, potential overtime, and the ability to climb and use line tools. This union position (Local 455 WMECO) may require indoor/outdoor work, a four-day-ten-hour schedule, and residency within 30 minutes of Hadley.

The successful candidate must meet the following qualifications: As a Fully Qualified Line Mechanic position requires at least one year of experience a high school diploma or equivalent, pass the CAST test, possess a valid driver's license, and obtain/maintain a Commercial Driver's License (CDL). Individuals must be able to perform work assignments at the Line Mechanic level including transmission work, work emergency, and planned overtime when the need exists; acquire a basic knowledge of the Company Safety Manual; have the mechanical ability to use hand/power tools, and equipment pertinent to line construction and maintenance; and have the ability to climb and work on poles, ladders, and other elevated structures.
Position will require working both indoors and outdoors, and at times under adverse weather conditions. Selected candidate must meet the physical requirements as required by medical placement examination(s); may be required to work a four, ten-hour day work schedule; will be designated a shift worker with Saturday as a work day; and must live within 30 minutes of the reporting location. This is a Union position and qualified Local 455 WMECO employees will be given first consideration.
