Job summary

Lufthansa in Dallas, TX seeks a senior maintenance lead to certify work and oversee station operations. You will supervise technicians, ensure EASA compliance, and act as Technical Manager on shifts to keep safety and on-time performance.

Applicants should hold EASA Part 66 B1.1/B2 with practical training, possess a strong IT foundation, and have a valid A&P license. Fluency in English is required; German is a plus.

Qualifications

  • EASA Part 66 B1.1/B2 with training; Part 145 assessment completed.

Responsibilities

  • Perform and certify maintenance work per Type Rating (ATA 104).
  • Ensure compliance with EASA regulations and documented procedures.
  • Supervise technicians and manage maintenance operations per EASA standards.
  • Deputize Technical Manager during shifts and make urgent decisions.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to ensure safe operations.
  • Oversee flight handling to maintain safety and punctuality.
  • Lead, coach, and onboard team members; support budget planning.

Tasks
  • Perform and certify maintenance work in line with Type Rating (ATA Spec. 104 Level
  • Ensure all tasks follow valid technical documentation, Iqmove updates, and EASA regulations
  • Supervise MCM/MM-Int/MM2 technicians and manage maintenance operations per EASA standards
  • Deputize for the Technical Manager during shifts, making urgent operational decisions
  • Oversee station technical operations and coordinate with internal teams, crews, and external partners
  • Manage flight handling to ensure safety, punctuality, and service quality
  • Lead, instruct, and support team members, including onboarding and coaching
  • Support budget planning and cost control with regional management
  • Perform all other duties assigned or delegated by supervisors

Requirements
  • A-level education with several years of relevant experience
  • EASA Part 66 B1.1/B2 (Level 3) with theoretical & practical training
  • Passed EASA Part 145 Assessment and Part 66/145 MCT exams
  • Strong business, IT, and basic accounting knowledge
  • Fluent English required; German desirable
  • Structured, independent working style; high sense of responsibility
  • Strong teamwork, communication, and leadership skills
  • Ability to instruct, motivate, and manage personnel
  • Resilient; able to work under physical and mental pressure
