Job summary

Ames is seeking an aircraft maintenance technician to troubleshoot, inspect, and perform routine and non-routine maintenance on customer aircraft in accordance with applicable data and program requirements. Work must be completed within budgeted hours and FAA quality standards.

Responsibilities include returning to service aircraft after maintenance using logs or approved documentation. Relocation assistance is available and other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Airframe and Powerplant license is required.
• FAR Part 145 repair station operations knowledge is preferred.
• Background in electronics is preferred.
• Must provide tools listed on required tool listing.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshooting, inspections, routine and non-routine maintenance on customer aircraft per data and program requirements.
• Returns to Service aircraft that have completed all required maintenance actions using logbooks or customer-authorized documentation.
• Performs additional duties as assigned.
