Job summary

Torrey Holistics in Smyrna, TN is seeking a wastewater technician to service Middle Tennessee. You will operate, maintain and repair wastewater equipment, troubleshoot issues, and perform line locates and inspections at treatment sites.

Responsibilities include monitoring gauges, performing maintenance, and documenting activities. Outdoor work, some heavy lifting, and a company vehicle are provided; licensure will be pursued as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; ability to obtain licensure within 1 year.
• Wastewater BNS/Collection systems license required after 1 year.
• Experience with decentralized wastewater collection/treatment is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, and repair wastewater equipment including pumps, motors and valves.
• Troubleshoot malfunctions and perform routine maintenance.
• Perform line locates per Tennessee 811 guidelines.
• Perform tank inspections and respond to service calls.
• Monitor operating conditions and recordkeeping for system balance.
• Assist in maintenance/repair at treatment sites; ensure safety and reliability.
