Job summary

Standard Safety & Supply is seeking a full-time Line Locator to support underground facility marking and one-call ticket processing in Delaware. The role requires OQ qualifications, job duties including line patrols, witness line crossings, and reading P&ID drawings, with on-site work at various sites.

Applicants should have at least 1 year of line locating experience and a high school diploma or equivalent, with an Associate degree in natural gas or related field preferred.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The essential job duties for this position are listed below:

• Obtain OQ qualifications to mark underground facilities and process one call tickets in adherence to state laws, and company procedures.
• Conduct line patrols, respond to one calls, and witness line crossings and excavations.
• Read and utilize drawings, schematics, alignment sheets and P&ID drawings.
• Support call out/on call requirements.
• Maintain compliance records and documentation to meet state and federal requirements as well as company procedures.
• Assist in maintenance activities in the ROW, meter station, and future compressor stations.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Working Conditions:

• Lifting up to 50 lbs. occasionally
• Driving, walking, and standing frequently
• Exposure to adverse weather, cramped conditions and some heavy lifting
• Visits to industrial/manufacturing settings, which may include exposure to various materials and chemicals, as well as extreme temperature conditions and loud machinery,
  and require appropriate personal protective equipment
• Occasional overnight travel may be required
• Working extended hours required in emergencies, on projects, or outages.

Physical Demands:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, climb, type, carry up to 40 lbs, pushing and bending. May be required to occasionally work at heights and in confined space.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position. Willing to work different shifts and travel up to 80% of the time.

Travel:

Travel to various worksites is required.
