Michael Foods, Inc. Wakefield facility seeks a Line Loader to ensure machines are loaded, flats moved, and work area stays clean. You will follow safety rules, help protect food safety and quality, and assist with line operations and basic troubleshooting.

This role requires lifting up to 50 lbs, teamwork, and flexibility to work weekends or overtime as needed in a cold, wet production environment. Prior factory experience is a plus.

Formación

• Less than high school education.
• Prior manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Keeps area around machines clean and neat.
• Removes cases from pallets and places on the conveyor to Loader.
• Removes any egg stuck to flats.
• Removes empty flats from the flat stacker.
• Dumps inedible buckets from machines at end of shift cleanup.
• Performs minor troubleshooting of Production Loaders.
• Notifies management promptly of mechanical issues.
• Follows SOPs and safety rules at all times.
• Adheres to GMPs and maintains sanitary conditions to protect product quality.
• Ensures a safe and healthy workplace; follows safety policies.
• Able to work weekends, holidays and overtime as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Location Description

Wakefield is one of the largest production facilities within Michael Foods. We serve as a flex plant and are able to produce everything from a whole pasteurized egg to liquid, dried, hardboiled and curds.

Responsibilities

JOB SUMMARY:

Line Loader is responsible to ensure machines are being loaded, flats removed, and area/machines are kept clean and neat.

This position has the responsibility to comply with Safety work rules at all times as well as an obligation to reinforce Safety as a Core Value. Ensures that all policies, procedures and activities, related to Food Safety & Quality, are followed and complied with uniformly, in an effort to reduce product and process variability.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Keeps area around machines being loaded clean and neat.
• Removes cases from pallets and place them on the conveyer to go into the Loader.
• Removes any egg that is stuck to the plastic flats.
• Removes empty flats from the flat stacker.
• Dumps inedible buckets from machines being loaded after the end of shift clean up.
• Performs minor trouble shooting of Production Loaders.
• Promptly notifies Management of mechanical issues.
• Follows proper SOP’s (Standard Operation Procedures).
• Adhere to safe work practices, follow GMP’s, maintain sanitary conditions and ensure that product quality is maintained. Report to management any conditions or practices that may adversely affect food safety, food quality or personnel safety.
• Assumes personal responsibility to insure safe and healthy workplace for everyone. Adhere to all safety policies and procedures and incorporate safety and health in all jobs and tasks.
• Able to work weekends, holidays and overtime as needed.
• Ensures regulatory compliance at all times.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPEREINCE REQUIRED:

• Less than high school education.

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

• Prior manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to troubleshoot minor mechanical issues.
• Ability to read a limited number of two-and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to print and speak simple sentences.
• Effective communication skills.
• Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers.
• Capability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in oral form.
• Demonstrates the ability to maintain positive interpersonal relationships and work effectively with others to complete work assignments.
• Able to safely lift and carry 50lbs.
• Able to work independently or with others in a team environment depending upon the assignment.
• Self-motivated while also willing to ask questions and seek direction.
• Displays responsible behavior at work.

• Ability to work in cold, wet, noisy, dusty and humid environments.
