Job summary

Mansfields in Chartham, Kent is seeking an experienced Line Leader to manage a fast-paced fresh produce packing line. You will ensure products meet customer standards for quality, packaging and compliance—while keeping production efficient and cost-effective.

You will set up the line, supervise packers, monitor hygiene, complete paperwork and track progress. The role reports to the Packhouse Manager, with flexible day options and competitive hourly rates including paid overtime.

Qualifications

• Food safety awareness required.

• Strong team player with attention to detail and proactive approach.

Responsibilities

• Set up and check the line before starting.
• Coordinate with team members on job priorities.
• Order and collecting packaging and labels with QC approval.
• Check fruit variety, grower, and job details.
• Train and brief packers, monitor hygiene.
• Complete paperwork accurately and on time.
• Track job progress and update records.
• Order extra fruit and packaging when needed.
• Clear and clean the line after each job.
• Report job completion to the Packhouse Manager.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and check the line before starting
