Job summary

Celestica Inc. is seeking a Production Operator 3 to perform hand soldering, assembly, and operate a range of semi-automatic and automated equipment. You will move between operations as required to meet the schedule, maintaining high quality and precise workmanship.

The role requires hands-on testing and inspection using various methods, troubleshooting, and documenting results. There is emphasis on knowledge of manufacturing processes and ability to work in a team environment.

Qualifications

• Three to five years relevant experience.
• High school diploma and additional courses after high school, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs hand soldering and assembly; setup, operation, and basic maintenance of semi‑automatic and/or automated assembly equipment; operates automated test units.
• Moves between operations and/or products as schedule dictates.
• Inspects product using visual, automated, electronic and mechanical inspection procedures.
• Uses diagnostic programs to perform electronic product testing and functional testing.
• Troubleshoots and communicates issues relating to routine defects.
• Maintains knowledge of product quality, processes and systems, and communicates problems to Team Leader.
