Job Title: Line Lead Grind Room

Department: Grind Production Department

Reports to: Grind Supervisor

Job Type: Hourly

SUMMARY

Assigned under the general supervision of the Grind Supervisor to utilize and assist in overseeing the daily operations. The position may also be titled Grind Operator.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Must follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s).
  • Must be able to read and operate all types of department equipment and ensure products are within specification.
  • Must be able to firmly grip all tools used with dominant hand, using proper technique to complete the required tasks.
  • Visually inspect products or completed tasks.
  • Ensure products are within specification.
  • Read, write and communicate in English.
  • Wear all safety and personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • May be required to “fill‑in” for other positions when needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

None

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily; requirements below represent the knowledge, skill, and/or ability needed. Reasonable accommodations may be made.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
  • Will train as necessary, allowing ninety (90) days to reach and maintain minimum daily production standards.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
  • Speak effectively and communicate with others. Read, write, and communicate in English.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
  • Add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers.
REASONING ABILITY
  • Solve practical problems and handle a variety of variables with limited experience. Apply common sense to carry out instructions in written, oral, or diagram form.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • Use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; full range of body motion including lifting, twisting, bending, reaching out, pushing, pulling, and stooping.
  • Occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Stand on concrete surfaces; exposure to indoor manufacturing environment and noise from equipment.
  • Climb stairs.
  • Work in a refrigerated environment of 35 to 45 degrees F.
  • Fast‑paced job; ability to deal with stress is essential.

Full‑time regular positions work Monday through Friday, generally 8 hours per day with minimal overtime. Travel is not required.
