Job summary

Mount Adams Fruit seeks a Line Lead to oversee the packing line for apples, pears, and cherries in our Bingen and Dallesport facilities. You will lead production workers, enforce quality standards, and ensure safe, efficient operations under the supervision of the Pear Production Supervisor.

The role requires English proficiency, Spanish language ability preferred, and a HS diploma. Work shifts from 6:00am to 4:30pm four days a week, with overtime during peak cherry season.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read and write in English.
• Bilingual Spanish/English preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee a team of production workers to meet daily goals.
• Inspect fruit quality and sort to pack only top quality.
• Manage workflow to maximize efficiency and minimize waste.
• Maintain pear inventory records and coordinate with inventory.
• Ensure equipment is properly maintained and cleaned.
• Enforce safety protocols and PPE usage.
• Train new workers and backups for the lead position.
• Communicate effectively with management and other departments.
• Maintain records of production output and incidents.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction.
• Ensure attendance, safety, and food safety compliance.
