Roots Natural Kitchen in Newark is hiring a Line Crewmember to craft bowls and ensure every guest leaves happy. You’ll work in a fast-paced front-of-house setting, collaborating with your crew to serve perfect bowls, keep the space clean, and restock as needed.

This full-time or part-time role starts at $15.00 per hour (including tips) with flexible schedules, paid time off, health and dental coverage after eligible, plus vision, life insurance, a 401(k) match, and profit sharing.

Starting Salary: Guaranteed $15.00/hr (including tips)

• Tips: All tips are pooled among all hourly employees. they're paid out biweekly, and usually boost base pay by more than $2/hr.
• Quarterly Profit-Share: Each full time employee shares in the profits created by Roots. The profit-share is paid quarterly, based on restaurant and company performance. Depending on company performance, the profit-share can equal as much as 10% of quarterly employee pay, paid in one lump sum after each quarter.
• 401(K): All crewmembers can save for the future with the Roots 401(k). Plus, Roots will match 100% of contributions up to 4%. Start where you are, save big!

THE ROLE

As a member of our line crew you are responsible for crafting awesome bowls and making sure that everyone who comes into our restaurant has an incredible time. You will work in the front of house and collaborate with your crew to make sure we quickly serve perfect bowls, keep the restaurant clean, and restock the front of house with food as needed.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Have a relentless focus on providing incredible customer experiences and paying attention to all the details
• Work all line positions (greeter, ingredients, mixer, protein, POS)
• Actively communicate with Leadership Team, grill, and dish crewmembers
• Maintain positive and cheerful attitude during all scheduled shifts
• Help restock line and reach-in fridge ingredients, as needed
• Use portion control and minimize waste to keep cost within projected range
• Multi-task and maintain organization in a fast-paced, changing environment
